These pictures will take
you from egg stage to weaned Quaker. I hope you enjoy them.
The egg to the right is almost ready to hatch. It is 21 days old.
I can see the babies move around in the shell when I candle
at this age.
Egg is pipping on the right side.
23 days old.
I had to assist in the hatching of this last baby. I
have done this often. Thank goodness I seem to always have GREAT, good-natured
parents that allow my assistance. Sometimes the membrane is stuck like glue to the
baby, not allowing it ot move, so it can't hatch. I open the shell where it is
pipped and moisten this area. They start moving around the second I touch it with
water. Then they can hatch the rest of the way on their own with their parents.
So happy to move!!!!
MAMA!!!!!!!

QuakerVille was started in 1995 and has operated as a
personal non-profit web site since that time. I am experimenting to see
if associating with Amazon will enable me to continue to maintain
QuakerVille as a high volume web site.
The QuakerVille sites are rated G for the entire
family,
including your parrot, to enjoy!
